Working as supplier to Propability for the Disney Store on Oxford Street, Flourish Trading was able to provide all faux foliage for the Frozen II theming in store.
In total, 11 silver birch trees using real birch trunks were installed. The branches and autumnal leaves in reds and oranges were supplied by Flourish Trading. Leafy branches were also used to create a bigger ceiling-coverage of leaves, attached to timbers that were suspended from the ceiling to create a canopy effect.
Trees that were supplied by Flourish Trading for a previous scheme were also refurbished and scenically painted to look like birch with autumnal branches added. All trees were mounted into heavy bases of MDF and sculpted poly to weight them down.
Flourish Trading supplied various reindeer mosses (green and red/pink). Ferns sprayed into reds using Flourish Oasis spray paints were dressed into the mounds as well as autumnal garlands. A fence was created in sections to offer a cordoned-off corner for a rotating Olaf the snowman and Sven the reindeer.
Additionally, versatile plinths / dump bins were created from cardboard tubes, coated in filler and semi-sculpted knots and texture, and scenically pointed to make them look like silver birch tree stumps. They are versatile enough for various types of products with removable lids painted to look like rings of a tree stump and decorated in leaves, ferns and reindeer moss from Flourish Trading.
To complement, but also contrast with the autumnal Frozen II area in store, Propability layered on a magical rune area with a purple colour palette to extend the Frozen II theming further into the store.
Four large rune stones, a key feature of the film, were sculpted and scenically painted to resemble carved rock. With each at almost 2.5 metres tall, these were set into bases and weighted with stage weights, the bases similarly scenically treated and dressed with artificial foliage supplied by Flourish Trading.
All foliage followed the purple hues of the colour scheme and in some cases colours were enhanced by Oasis colour sprays. Each rune featured a pulsing coloured RGB LED lighting effect set behind an engraved acrylic rune symbol, the four stone symbols representing earth, air, fire and water.
In addition to the Frozen themed areas, Flourish Trading baubles were used to dress the rest of the store for the festive season together with garlands and tinsel.
