For the Hamleys toy shop Christmas windows this year, Propability, sister company to Flourish Trading, worked to create a snowy alpine scene for TY toys. All the Hamleys windows feature the friendly characters collecting a Christmas tree, enjoying their Christmas dinner al fresco and congregating around a camp fire. The faux foliage, trees and decorative aspects were all supplied by Flourish Trading.
In one window a 3D wooden log cabin with a Flourish Trading wreath is featured above the door. Propability designed and built the log cabin and then decorated the scene with glittered mistletoe, white snowy branches and Christmas trees.
A second miniature version of the 3D cabin is featured in another window which depicts an avenue of silver birch trees, constructed by Propability from cardboard and scenically painted with a canopy of white twigs and birch tree stumps and logs supplied by Flourish Trading together with fairy lights. The TY characters feast on a Christmas dinner with each piece of food including turkey and vegetables individually hand sculpted by craftsmen in the Propability workshop. Various off the shelf props from Flourish Trading include glassware and ribbons.
Finally, a further window shows an oscillating pick-up truck moving back and forth, sculpted by Propabilty and scenically painted. The truck is suggestively showing the TY characters are heading off into the woods to collect their Christmas tree from the forest! The scene’s trees and other foliage from Flourish Trading include snow berries, twigs and frosted pine cones.
